APHIS' mission is to safeguard the wellness of our nation's agricultural resources. In general, restrictions based on the APHIS-recognized brute health condition of the region are issued through the regulatory process. A region can be (a) a national entity (state); (b) part of a national entity (zone, county, Province, Land, etc.); (c) parts of several national entities combined into an expanse; or (d) a group of national entities (countries) combined into a unmarried surface area.
